Finally got through to listening to the whole Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time...
I gotta say, it has to be one of the worst "best of all time" lists I've heard, more than half of the songs I can't for the life of me figure out why they're in it, not based on song quality, popularity, historical relevance or any other reason I could think of. Still, I felt like making "1NNU3NDO's 25 best songs of the Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" to rectify this hahah.
Just for the record, these are NOT my personal 25 best songs of all time, just the ones that were featured in the 500 Rolling Stones selected. Enjoy! (or not...)

On the flipside, I might suggest checking out Blender's The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born, all about ones from 1980 forward. It's not perfect either (& it doesn't exactly come from a more reputable rag), but I found it to be more interesting: [link]

I do appreciate the oldies, there are a lot of songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s and also 80s that shaped today's music. But from the top of my head I think almost 50% of the list was 50s songs.
Nothing wrong with tunes from that decade, and it's the start of rock & roll and all, but there can't be 250 important songs from just that decade...

I might work on my personal best 25 or 50 songs of all time sometime, maybe pull in some friends to help out, 500 is a bit out of my reach I think haha.
