Best musical collaborations

Most of us have done it, collaborations with other artists. But what do you think are some of the best musical collaborations of the past 5 decades or so?

I'll throw one in there:

David Bowie & Nine Inch Nails. I'd say the song "I'm Afraid Of Americans" turned out pretty damn well. Their styles combined really turned out something amazing with the great quote "God is an American"

I don't know if this is considered a collaboration but Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson. I'm a huge Waylon fan and I think most of his best stuff is what he did with Willie.

hehe I'm American and afraid of my own people.

My favorites are Röyksopp & Karin Drejer-Andersson and Nirvana & The Vaselines (that was more like Nirvana did a couple of covers but did play live with them once or twice).

Oh, the "What's Going On" collaboration after 9/11 was good too.

My favorite would have to be umm... The Album Leaf with Sigur Rós, the song Over The Pond.

I guess my favorite Post-humus collaboration would have to be Nat King Cole and Tv on the Radio [link]

I would check out the other remix's of Cole's songs too on RE:Generations.

i think i must say: The Last Shadow Puppets, the lead singer from Artic Monkeys and the lead singer from The Rascals. Incredible music, new form of orchestra rock, i loved it.
